....a slam dunk in his face. Xavier's Jordan Crawford , was playing at the LeBron James Skill Academy in Akron a few weeks ago. For those of you in the dark, the story behind this whole controversy was about, Crawford dunking on LeBron during a pick-up game at The King's camp, Nike confiscated all known video evidence of the posterization, a lively debate ensued about whether the tapes were taken because they were embarrassing to LeBron or because of a long-standing Nike policy.

Hey, it's definitely not "hide the women and children and tapes" worthy. I mean, c'mon, were not talking about Vince giving some French guy a haircut or McGrady riding Shawn Bradley's back or even Patrick Ewing in the Patrick Chewing Snicker commercial. It's just LeBron rotating a little slow on defense and getting caught at the rim by an athletic college kid. Why he and Nike made such a big deal about it is perplexing.

I need an iPhone

Is there anything the magical iPhone can't do? One thing seems for sure, that list seems to be getting shorter and shorter.

A new app developed for the popular handset, lets users find the closest available source of Medical Marijuana. Created by AJNAG (Activists Justifying the Natural Agriculture of Ganja), the app is available now for $2.99 via the iTunes App Store.

"Our goal is to put the power of cannabis change in your pocket while you enjoy the most sticky and potent iPhone application available!" claims the organization. The app provides a map displaying medical marijuana resources. It also provides information for lawyers who specialize in marijuana-related cases.

Formula Drift "ALL IN", Las Vegas weekend

Long Beach fun, but it's Vegas baby!! Last weekend, I was giving the chance to photograph for Attic in Buena Park once again. For most of you who don't know, Attic is the 2009 official sponsor of Formula Drift. This was round 4 of Formula Drift "ALL IN", held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, in Las Vegas. This was a 2 day event and temperatures reached up to 115 degrees mid day, good thing it was at night, so it wasn't as bad as thought it would be.

Big Thanks to James (Attic), for providing and giving me the opportunity to enjoy what I love doing, as well as the people at Hankook Tires, Dynamic Auto Sport, Crooks & Castle, Kallusive, City Tire, and Formula Drift.

Like most sneaker heads, checking whats on the next persons feet is more of a routine, despite his baggy ass pants the black/blue AJ1's are still one of my favorite pair of J's. So I caught Kobe Bryant in a pair of Air Jordan 1 Black/Blue. I believe, this is the 2001 retro, and having a close relationship with Nike you never know what's going to be on his feet.

2009 Lakers Championship Rally

Mission Accomplished!

It was literally a mission that was possible, with an attitude of a champ. I met up with a few Laker fans at the Metro Link station in Fullerton at 5 a.m., with barely an hour of sleep, no breakfast, and only a bottle of Sparkle water, I felt like a true champ. As we departed from the station and arrived on Flower and 7th, the Coliseum was nowhere to be found. We then hitched a ride on the red line, filled with passengers in purple and gold Laker apparel. We then approached Staples Center, as a crowd of people migrate down Figueroa to reserve their premier spot, I knew it was going to be a crazy day.

Despite getting lost through the subway station and having to guess which bus route to take, I still had it in me. I felt the same way as everyone their that morning, a heart of a champion! Letting my mind focus on every detail of the entire day, adjusting the lens to the proper depth of field, incompatible with my vision, and not knowing the Coliseum was 10 miles away from where I was standing. I can only say....., I am a true Laker fan.

Lakers Parade

The parade to salute the 2009 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers will take place this Wednesday, June 17th. The parade will begin at STAPLES Center and travel south on Figueroa Street to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum where a victory celebration will take place in front of an expected capacity crowd of 95,000 Lakers fans.

Beginning at 11:00 AM, double-decker busses carrying the players, coaching staff, Lakers executives and City officials will depart from STAPLES Center at Figueroa and Chick Hearn Ct. and travel a nearly two mile parade route along Figueroa to the Coliseum where the "official" championship ceremony will take place beginning at noon.

All Lakers fans are invited to stand along Figueroa to cheer the Lakers players having just won the fifteenth NBA Championship in the franchise's history. The first 95,000 fans to arrive at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will be invited inside to attend a ceremony during which City and team officials, Coach Phil Jackson and several players will address the crowd. Coliseum gates will open beginning at 9:30 AM for early arriving fans who will be able to watch the parade on giant video screens in addition to being entertained by the Laker Girls and other special guests.

Please be aware of the following street closures planned for Wednesday, June 17th. Figueroa will be closed from Olympic to Exposition Park from 8am-12pm. Chick Hearn Court will be closed from 9am-4pm. Cherry will be closed from Pico to Olympic from 9am-2pm. In addition the Exposition Blvd, Martin Luther King Blvd, Adams and Olympic exits from the 110 freeway will be closed from 10am until the end of the parade.

E3 Forza 3 Party at L.A. Live

Tuesday night, I received a call from Ceso (Formula Drift), all he said was E3 event, I already knew what was up. The event was an exclusive Forza 3 Motorsport launch party held by Microsoft. It took place at a disclosed location near Staples Center in Los Angeles. Not only meeting and greeting a few people, I got a chance to experience the game on Xbox 360, along with an open bar, free food, and free Xbox gear.
What more can I ask for, right?

It was so exclusive, security guards did not let anyone enter the elevator without a risk band. No problem, it only took a phone call for someone to come get us.

Attic x Trainerspotter Collab???

Wait a minute...I never knew Attic in did a collab with Trainerspotter?

Trainerspotter launched a collaborative project with a Scottish boutique Attic. Three work shirts were produced, one in collaboration with each one of the brothers who own the store. The shirts are called “The Watchmen”, “The Plum” and “Brightlines”.

‘The Watchmen’ shirt is a nod to Scotland’s Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, Royal Infantry Regiment. ‘The Plum’ speaks for it self with it’s plum colours within the Tartan and the details. ‘Brightlines’ is a plaid of dark rich maroons mixed with navy squares and bright lines of lemon and lime cutting through them. All 3 shirts include 100% leather tipping to the right breast pocket. They are a mid weight cotton and perfect upper wear for trekking the Highlands. There are 12 of each style available and from Attic only.

It has been a month, and I was just informed about the tragic news. Shawn was one of many photographers I looked up to. His work inspired me to pick up a camera, and pursue my career in photography. My prayers goes out to his family and friends and may you rest in peace.

Friday evening: After consuming a few pineapple blunts, the night had just begun.

I received an email, confirming my RSVP request to the premier screening of Kobe Bryant's "Doin' Work" documentary, directed by Spike Lee. The documentary aired on ESPN, Saturday May 16 at 5pm, eastern standard time.

Not only being high as hell, Nike came through with dope music, free munchies, and complementary drinks from Belvedere IX, Redbull, and IZZE to entertain their guest. They also raffled out 4 pairs of Kobe signature shoes and 2 Tickets to Sunday's game 7, versus the Houston Rockets.

To bad I didnt win.

So Saturday's event was pretty crazy I'd say. Good turn out. Good amount of cars. Good amount of sales.

Over 2,600 people texted the keyword DRIFT to 69302 to attend our huge 60% off sale this weekend. Half came on Saturday to check out the Formula Drift launch event, and then other half came on Sunday to do some hardcore shopping.

On Saturday we wanted to put together a sneak peak of Formula Drift's first event next week on April 11th in Long Beach. Attic is the official streetwear sponsor for Formula Drift's 2009 season and we work directly with the league.

For those of you that missed out, this is what went down...

The line had already wrapped around the entire buidling by 8 AM. In fact, people started lining up the night before at 10 PM (as always).

B.LA x ATTIC2ZOO Collab

The past few weeks I've been busy off my ass, and never thought I would be sitting here typing about what this is all about. First I want to say thank you to Attic fam for making it possible and giving me the opportunity to emerge from what I love to do most, photography. My dedication will put all of us to the next level as we grow together. Second, thanks to my buddy Peter Hong a.k.a. "Petah", for coming through with his skills and knowledge about designing. He just graduated from the Art Institute of Orange County majored in graphic design and recieving a bachelor of science, congrats. Peter, you are one hell of a character just like your drawings.

It feels good to see others grow as you grow along, side by side and to know that you had made that connection with the person you never thought of connecting to, that just shows, its not what you know, its who you know that can get you places you never thought you'll see in life. Reaching the next chapter of my life, I am pretty satisfy of where I stand now, but if hell breaks loose, then the attitude and knowledge that i obtained, will pick me up. Pick me up, and grow into a that person, which stands today.

Enough said, This Thursday night i will be out shooting at the House of Blues. 2009 Agenda pre-party hosted by Crooks and Castle, Should be fun. Friday morning I will be off to Agenda to document what Attic is expecting in 2009 Spring/Summer Collection, so stay tune.

So Random...

My cousin and a couple of his friends decided they wanted to take a cruise down to San Diego. His friend, Jordan, who is attending San Diego State University was on his way back, after a long weekend in Orange County. He told us, he had a Quarter ounce of that BOMB..., we didn't believe him at first, until he convinced us to drive out there and spend the rest of the evening in SD smoking it. We left around 4p.m. and arrived around 6 or 7p.m, enough time to still catch the Lakers and Hornets game. After halftime we drove downtown and smoked a total of 7 blunts within 5 hours before we had to drive back home. Knowing that I had work early the next morning. I managed to get back at a reasonable time.

Greg, who is from Atlanta wanted to spend the weekend in LA, so Justin and I decided to come along. First We stopped by Chinatown to grab some lunch at this place called "Full House Seafood", all i gotta say is...This shit is legit!








While walking back to the car we noticed an art studio, we weren't sure if it was open to the public, but decided to check it out anyways.

We ended the night with dinner in Little Tokyo at T.O.T Restaurant off 2nd st and Japanese red bean cake. That shit is BOMB!

This semester at Ai, I decide to change my major, from web design to digital photography. Even though web designers make decent money, I have unlimited passion for photography. So for my mid-term project I decide to put together a sample look book for my portfolio. The theme is "L.A. vs. O.C. Lifestyle". Paper Los Angeles Project

Originally hinted at in the most recent Geoff McFetridge x UNDFTD series, Paper Los Angeles Project 2008 is set to kick off at the start of the weekend. The event brings together over 30 Paper favorites including designers, artists, chefs and musicians as they each set up their own booths for what is essentially a 24 hour party. Converse is sponsoring 24 different acts for a complete musical experience. A list of the participating retailers can be seen here with the details of the event seen below.

This event was hosted by Adidas over the pass weekend. This is quite interesting to me, due to the fact that, I am from Thailand and been keeping an eye on their street culture. Over the years the skate scene has not been as big, but now days kids and adults are far more into it, even with the economy not doing so well, people in my hometown still have love for skating.

Its Family Business...

Thank you Foreign Family for inviting Attic to there Halloween party. Once the booze ran out, its never to late to pick up 3 30 packs of beer and 2 giant bottles of vodka to complete the fun. BOOZE + HALLOWEEN + PEOPLE + MUSIC = Family Business.

Air Jordan 1 Premier Pack

Adding to their massive roster for 2008, the Jordan camp introduces two new colorways for their timeless Jordan 1 silhouette. Mixing it up from the more toned down releases, one of the models gets a full red upper alongside contrasting laces and army green accenting, sharing similarities to modern gucci motifs. The second pair combines a black and khaki colorway with the signature laser etching technique along the front and toe panels. Both offer a unique and distinct look gravitating the brand into a territory of fashion geared pieces rather than its roots in basketball performance sneakers. They have hit select Asia accounts including Shoe Planet Japan, with a US release rumored to be in November of this year.

Original Fake x Nike Air Max???!!!

After much anticipation and uncertainty, Nike Sportswear has finally dropped the official word on the release of the KAWS/OriginalFake Nike Air Max Series. Two styles will release including a white style in the traditional Air Max 90 format and the Jesse Leyva created Air Max 90 Current (with its Free sole) in black. Much like how OriginalFake has incorporated selected elements of technical fabric into their apparel, these shoes itself feature 4-way stretch fabrics with inspirations derived from Nike ACG. According to KAWS, the design goal was “…to create a simple shoe that I could wear, with subtle design elements someone could enjoy on a more personal level.” The shoes release on October 18th, 2008 at only two locations nationwide, Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer and Nike Sportswear at The Montalbán.

Street racers in Ontario

Police arrested more than 180 people gathered at an illegal street racing site in an industrial area near Ontario International Airport early this morning, authorities said.

Among those arrested were two drivers and a "flagger," who signals the start of the race, who were booked on misdemeanor charges, given citations and released, said Sgt. David McBride of the Ontario Police Department.

Authorities also picked up 184 spectators who were lining the streets to watch the race. They were given citations for watching the illegal activity. Of the 184, 47 were juveniles who also were cited for violation of the city's 10 p.m. curfew.

Several of the spectators also had cars that were illegally modified for street racing, and many of them may have been looking for opportunities to race, McBride said.

More than 100 officers from 12 agencies, including the Ontario police, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Riverside Police Department and California Highway Patrol were involved in the arrest, which took place shortly before 1 a.m. on Airport Drive west of Etiwanda Avenue. The officers were part of a task force targeting street racing in different cities, McBride said.

He described the location of the race as a long, straight stretch of Airport Drive with a sharp curve at the end, with little traffic during on weekends. There have been racing-related crashes there in the past. Crowds of people often cruise the streets between industrial complexes on weekend nights looking for impromptu races, he said.

The two drivers and flagger were identified as Andrew Douglas Verdugo, 19, of Fontana; Miguel Angel Sanchez, 26, of San Bernardino, and Ivan Edgar Aguayo, 23, of Rancho Cucamonga. All three face the same misdemeanor charges of illegal speed contest, but McBride said he did not immediately know which two were racing.

The drivers' cars were impounded for 30 days, and 74 other cars were towed away when their owners were arrested.

UDFTD X Converse

Yeah, I know Converse is classic. Honestly I've never owned a pair of Converse, but i might need this pair. Vapors just released a dope sneaker issue highlighting the culture and upcoming releases. One of those releases includes a collab between Undefeated and Converse entitled “Poorman’s Weapon.” The shoe was inspired by the flight jacket of an Air Force MA-1 fighter pilot. The upper is made of the same nylon used on the flight jacket and features removeable patches as well. Pretty clean in my opinion...
